Is This Amputechture Artwork?

It is a painting by Jeff Jordan called The Mutant. I thought he was going to create a new piece of artwork and not use an existing artwork. It is cool all the same. I think the painting looks a bit wrong thought, as that mutant sure does look heavy!

The Mars Volta have updated their website to reflect the new album which is being released.

The artwork for the new album, Amputechture, will be designed by artist Jeff Jordan.
